White money fraud hits Orillia

A well known money scam has made its way into Orillia. The OPP says the white money fraud recently cost a victim $8,000. The white money fraud involves taking legitimate Canadian currency and placing it between white or negative money in order to transfer the currency colouring onto the paper to make it positive.  In this case, police say the suspect asked a victim for a $50 bill and pulled out another one claiming all bills had different serial numbers. The OPP is reminding you that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
