Town of Huntsville Officials Thank the Community on Successful Food Drive

It was a successful food drive and officials with the Town of Huntsville are thanking everyone who was involved.

During the 27th Annual Salvation Army’s Project Porchlight Food Drive, crews collected over 28 tons of food over three hours. They do apologize to those houses they missed last week, non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army in town as well as the fire stations in Huntsville, Lake of Bays and Port Sydney.

Salvation Army Major Darren Wiseman told MooseFM their collections went up 30-40 per cent than years past.
