Bracebridge starting annual sidewalk maintenance

Over the next few months, the Town of Bracebridge will be working on upgrades to a handful of sidewalks.

Town officials say two sidewalks will be replaced with asphalt:

  • Manitoba St. (Muskoka Rd. 37) from Monck Rd. (Muskoka Rd. 4) to Rene Caisse Lane
  • The east side of Wellington St. (Muskoka Rd. 118 W.) from Santa’s Village Rd. (Muskoka Rd. 15) to the Wellington St. bridge

Another six sidewalks will be replaced:

  • Covered Bridge Trail from 108 Covered Bridge Trail to the Covered Bridge
  • Glendale Rd. from Kevin Cres. to Tamarack Trail
  • James St. from Chub Downey Lane to Mary St.
  • Meadow Heights Dr. from Kevin Cres. to Wood Glen Cres.
  • Quebec St. from Dominion St. to Wellington St. (Muskoka Rd. 118 W.)
  • Rene Caisse Lane from Kimberley Ave. to Manitoba St. (Muskoka Rd. 37)

Officials say the work should be done by the end of Aug. 2024.

They explain the sidewalks were chosen based on the town’s sidewalk condition assessment.
