Bracebridge and Gravenhurst officials want you to get out of the heat for the next few days as temperatures get into the mid-thirties.
Environment Canada has released a heat warning for the region and it will feel near 40 today with the humidity.
With that in mind, there are a number of cooling centres open to the public for the next few days.
The Bracebridge Municipal Office, Bracebridge Library, Bracebridge Sportsplex, Gravenhurst Public Library and Gravenhurst Centennial Centre are all open to the public for free to get inside and get cool.
Gravenhurst is reminding the public that there are numerous swimming locations and the splash pad to take advantage of for cooling off as well.
Officials are reminding the public to stay hydrated and be aware of the sign of heat-related adverse health conditions.
This could include heat cramps in your legs of abdomen, heat exhaustion which would include dizziness, nausea and fainting and heat stroke which will include many of the same symptoms and can become fatal.
If you are feeling any of these symptoms while outside in the heat, get inside immediately and get help.
Town officials are asking residents to check on elderly or disabled neighbours during the day as well.

- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Bracebridge Library:
- Monday and Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Tuesday to Thursday 9:00am to 8:00pm
Bracebridge Sportsplex:
- Monday to Friday 6:30am to 9:00pm
Gravenhurst Public Library
- Tuesday to Thursday 10:00am to 8:00pm
Gravenhurst Centennial Centre
- Daily 5:30am to 10:00pm
