Bracebridge OPP Lay Drug Charges on Local man

A man found slumped over in his vehicle in Bracebridge is facing trafficking charges.

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police received a report of an unconscious man in his vehicle in the Wellington Street Plaza yesterday.

As a result of the initial investigation, the Bracebridge Community Street Crime Unit searched the vehicle and recovered what is believed to be heroin and fentanyl. An undisclosed amount of cash was found as well.

The 31-year-old Bracebridge man has been charged with a number of crimes including possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by Crime under $5,000.

The man was released on a promise to appear at the Bracebridge Ontario Court of Justice on January 8th, 2019.
