Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie campaign benefiting Muskoka

Eight Tim Hortons locations in Muskoka are taking part in this year’s Smile Cookie campaign.

A map is on Tim Hortons’ website detailing each participating location and who the money raised will benefit.

The Bracebridge locations will support the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation (SMHF). Kathryn Devlin, development officer with SMHF, says the money will be used to purchase “urgently needed equipment for current needs at our hospital.”

The money raised from the cookies in Gravenhurst will benefit K.P. Manson Public School. Tim Clayton, principal, says the money will be used to refresh the school’s outdoor spaces, including repainting lines, adding a volleyball court, and placing new picnic tables around the yard.

In Huntsville, the money raised will go to The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation. Heather Cassie, founder of The Table, says the money will be put into a general fund that helps the non-profit keep its door open and purchase much-needed food for the clients it serves.

The fundraising campaign runs from April 29 to May 5. All of the money raised from cookie sales at each Tim Hortons location goes to the selected charity or organization.

According to Tim Hortons, the 2023 Smile Cookie campaign raised nearly $20 million for over 600 charities, hospitals, and community groups across Canada.
