The YWCA Muskoka is getting a funding boost for a few of its youth programs.
Last week, the organization was given a cheque for $5,243 from proceeds collected from Gravenhurst Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie campaign. The money will be used to continue running the Boys Quest program targeted at kids from grade 5 to 10. The program is designed to build confidence, self-worth and cut down stress and anxiety in young boys.
The organization also received a donation of $415 from funds raised during the Muskoka Kids’ Tri held in Port Sydney over the summer. That money will be used in various youth programs run by the YWCA.
