West Muskoka Food Bank is expanding as the need for more service grows.
The food bank will be taking over the top floor at the Glen Orchard Community Centre. Official say the basement will now be used for clothing donations as the specific food bank moves upstairs. Cosmetic upgrades for the building are also planned for the near future. The non-profit service has hired its first paid employee in a part-time position to help with operations as well.
The service was started in 2011 to support to those in need in the West Muskoka area.
