Senior care in Muskoka is getting a financial boost through a local silent auction.
The Pines Long-Term Care Home is running its annual silent auction until September. Community Coordinator Kim Gibbs says the funds raised will be used to continue to improve the home for its residents.
Last year the auction raised about $10,000, which was used to update the indoor hair salon and build a new entrance and country kitchen. Gibbs says the auction is made possible through donations of items from local businesses and artists.
