Muskokans could be offered a CarShare option from the district

Muskoka officials want to explore the possibility of a CarShare program for area residents.

As part of the Community Transportation Strategy, District of Muskoka officials will be considering CarShare, which would allow residents to use a pool of district-owned vehicles.

Users of the CarShare program would pay fees based on use, which would save on insurance and upkeep costs related to owning their own vehicle.

A district committee will be working with community stakeholders to figure out if this program would benefit Muskokans.

Through the Transportation Strategy, the district has set up both the Corridor 11 and Muskoka Extended Transit bus programs.
