Huntsville OPP Asking Everyone to Not Keep Pets in Hot Cars

The warm weather is here and Huntsville OPP is asking everyone to not leave animals in parked cars.

Over the next few days, the region will see temperatures reach over 30 degrees. Police say leaving an animal in a vehicle for a short period of time in the heat can lead to illness or even death. Last month, a man was charged for leaving his dog in a parked car in downtown Huntsville.

If you see a pet suffering in a parked car, contact police, the OSPCA or the humane society.
