Electronic Signs in Muskoka to Receive Certain Restrictions

Electronic signs in Muskoka are becoming the topic of discussion.

After the recent approval of an LED sign in Baysville, council members with the Township of Lake of Bays questioned the table on Tuesday about how long the messages should be displayed before changing to the next message.

It concluded with members explaining it is an MTO requirement to have notices and messages displayed for a certain period of time.

On Wednesday morning at the District of Muskoka committee meeting, members approved the signs to only feature static images for no less than three minutes. They are also to be turned off between 11:00pm and sunrise each day.
