Nippissing students concerned over faculty strike

Nippissing students are starting to feel nervous following a decision by the faculty to go on strike.
According to Student Union officials, they have been inundated with calls and e-mails from concerned students.
One of the concerns brought up by students is having to make up for this missed time with an extended or even extra year of classes.
For graduating students this could affect employement opportunities available to them at the regular end of the course.
Others who require financial aid are concerned OSAP may not continue to cover their needs if their time at school is extended.
The Full-Time Academic Staff Bargaining Unit announced the strike late Sunday night, and the Muskoka campus has been shut down.
