Two men charged for drinking and driving

It’s a reminder to not drink and drive. The Huntsville OPP says officers stopped a car without its lights on Main Street just before midnight Friday. Officers eventually charged the 37-year-old driver for having too much alcohol in his blood. The man is in court next month to answer to his charges.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, officers stopped a car driving erratically on Highway 11 near Rowanwood Road. The 30-year-old Barrie man was also charged with having too much alcohol in his blood along with possession of marijuana. That man is in court in June.

In both cases, the drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days and vehicles impounded for seven.
