Watch for wildlife on area roadways

Local OPP and the MTO are reminding motorists to look out for wildlife along roadways.
Police urge motorists to monitor their speed, particularly at night, avoid over driving the illumination of their headlights and scan the highway ahead as far as possible, with special attention to the road side.
Officers suggest using high beams at night when possible and to look for the glow of eyes at the side of the road and to slow down if you see any.
Animals can bound out onto the highways unexpectedly and if you see an animal, slow down and be prepared to stop.
