Two females from Toronto have been arrested for shoplifting in Parry Sound. On Sunday at around 9pm, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 11 southbound in Orillia for a driving related offence. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed shopping bags concealed behind the driver’s seat. Upon further investigation, police noticed the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle involved in a shoplifting incident in Parry Sound. Both females were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. They were released on a promise to appear in court.
