Muskoka Lakes Council approves 2014 Budget

Muskoka Lakes Council approved its 2014 Budget. On Friday, council voted in favour of a 2.75% increase to the annual levy bringing the majority of the increase through new growth and assessment phase-in. Highlights from the budget include $530,000 for the reconstruction of Beatrice Town line Bridge #2 and $25,000 for future weather impacts. The tax rate will now increase 1.04% per residential property valued at $100,000.
