BRACEBRIDGE, ON- Staff at the hospital in Bracebridge are testing their readiness for an emergency today.
According to a notice from Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, a mock emergency code exercise is being done at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge today.
The hospital is staying open throughout the exercise, which started at 1:00 p.m. No impacts on patient care were anticipated. Signage about the exercise was also planned to be posted.
“MAHC has very robust emergency plans in place,” read the statement from the health authourity.
“We hold mock exercises regularly to ensure we are properly equipped to safely and effectively respond in the event of a true emergency.”
