The Township of Lake of Bays will make a donation to the Red Cross to help the wildfire victims in Fort McMurray.
During yesterday’s regular council meeting, township staff made the decision to donate $1,000 to the Red Cross through the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Lake of Bays was challenged by the Township of Georgian Bay to match its donation of $5,000.
Earlier this year, the Town of Bracebridge made a contribution of $1,000.
