Bracebridge reaching out to support to displaced Fort McMurray residents

Bracebridge council has unanimously agreed to send necessary funds to the relief effort for those in need in Fort McMurray.

On Tuesday morning, council was presented with an option to donate $1,000 to the Fort McMurray Disaster Relief Fund established by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

All councillors agreed it was a no-brainer to reach out and show support to this Canadian community left in turmoil.

Following this agreement, town staff will be sending the resolution to AMO, the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound-Muskoka politicians MP Tony Clement and MPP Norm Miller.
