Our MPP is surprised more spending has been announced in the 2014 provincial budget. The Liberals introduced the $130.4-billion budget yesterday afternoon. Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says he’s astonished the government chooses to commit to even more new spending as the provincial deficit balloons to $12.5-billion. Ontario’s transit and infrastructure is a main priority in the budget. The $130-billion dollars would be spent over a 10-year-period, which the government says will support 110,000 jobs per year.
