The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department will be receiving a new fire truck.
Council approved a motion to allow the purchase of a new pumper/tanker truck for $370,512. The money will be coming out of the fire departments complete replacement program. Fire Chief Steve Hernen says the truck will have dual features.
He says this new purchase will replace their 1988 model.
With the replacement program, Hernen says the department has a 25 year plan to replace trucks and other equipment.

He says nothing will be unexpected as far as equipment replacement.
They have planned expenses so the costs will not have a huge impact on the tax payer.
