Canadian Tire has taken a set of holiday lights off their shelves for safety precautions.
Officials say indoor and outdoor lights by the company Taizhou Hongpeng Colour Lanterns have been recalled after being claimed as a burn hazard. Even though they have not received any incidents or injury reports, the products may cause fires or electrical shocks.
Customers are asked to stop using these lights if they have the manufacturer identification label for the CSA file numbers of 241989 and 263917.
