During their second week of their Festive R.I.D.E. campaign, Almaguin Highlands OPP have arrested two people.
Police say on Saturday night they pulled over a vehicle on Bay Lake Road. As the vehicle slowed down, police noticed the driver and the passenger swapping seats. A further investigation led to police charging the two with failure or refusal to provide a breath sample, driving while impaired, obstructing a police officer and driving without a license.
Over the past week, 289 vehicles were stopped in the area. They remind everyone to drive safe during the holiday season and to not drink and drive.
