Police Charge 18-year-old After Assaulting Senior in Huntsville
Police have released more information about the senior who was assaulted at the subway in Huntsville earlier this week.
Police say on Monday night an 18-year-old man approached a driver demanding a ride and was refused. He then approached an elderly couple where he assaulted a 71-year-old man. The driver who was first approached managed to restrain the man until police arrived.
During the arrest, the Huntsville teen assaulted a police officer and damaged a police cruiser.
He was charged with assault causing bodily harm, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and failing to comply with probation. He will appear in court on November 18th.
The 71-year-old who was assaulted was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
