A Huntsville family is safe after a bear tried to break into their home.
The bear woke up the family on Royal Oak Crescent in Woodland Heights sometime last week. The homeowners say the bear left several damages to the outside of the home.
Police have been notified and will investigate the reason why the bear wanted into the home.
