Local community groups in Dorset are taking development plans into their own hands.
They are hiring a consultant to work on a downtown study and waterfront development plan. It s being funded through support from local townships. They re looking to get a site plan of community assets and studies so they can attract investment and recommend development options.
In November, the plan is to go ahead with site visits, community consultation, data collection and planning.
