Beer sales move to grocers in Ontario

A new law in Ontario will allow grocery stores to sell beer.
The announcement made by the Liberal Government says that by December 60 grocers in Ontario will be able to sell six packs of canned beer.
By May another 150 stores will be added to that list.
The law will require beer to be sold at the same price as The Beer Store and also 20 per cent of the beer case in grocery stores will be allocated to Ontario breweries.
Finally small bars will be allowed to purchase beer at retail prices rather than premium.
Moose FM reached out to local grocers in Muskoka but was not able to get an immediate response.
There is no confirmation yet on which stores in Ontario will be selling beer in December.
