The body of a kayaker who was reported missing on Lake Muskoka Sunday morning has been found.
Provincial Const. Samantha Bigley Provincial Const. Samantha Bigley with the Bracebridge detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the family called them around 11 a.m. after the man “encountered difficulties causing him to enter the water.”
She says the body of the 31-year-old was recovered around 6:30 p.m. and he was pronounced dead.
Police were looking for the missing kayaker near an address on Muskoka Rd. 169 near Glen Echo Rd. in Gravenhurst.
Bigley says the family told police the man was visiting from Toronto.
