Muskoka Conservancy prepares to trap and examine invasive beetles

The Muskoka Conservancy has called in some help to deal with the recent threat of a new invasive species.
Bio Forest has partnered with the Muskoka Conservancy to help catch and examine the Emerald Ash Borer or EAB.
Allison Winmill with Bio forest explains the traps attract the beetles using special bait.
She adds the outside is extremely sticky and when the beetles land on the trap they can’t escape.
This nasty little beetle is a tree killer from Asia and is currently known to be in the Barrie area.
