The Township of Lake of Bays is warning residents and visitors that current water levels on Lake of Bays are lower than normal for this time of year due to limited rainfall.
Officials said boaters should exercise caution when using public boat launches, as the reduced water levels may create challenges when loading and unloading vessels.
To ensure safety and prevent damage to watercraft, trailers, or launch infrastructure, officers advised residents to launch and retrieve boats slowly and with care, be mindful of uneven surfaces, rocks, or other hazards that may be exposed, and follow all posted signage and instructions from Township staff, if present.
