Teen arrested for prank calling police

A teenager from Highlands East has been charged after prank call to police.  Haliburton Highlands OPP along with EMS and the fire department were called to a crash on Elephant Lake Road Friday night and were looking for a snowmobile in the ditch near Pine Grove Point Trailer Park Resort.  An investigation found that the call was a prank and the teen that made the call was found and arrested.  The 18 year old is charged with public mischief and will appear in a Minden court in April.
