When on the road, it may seem there aren’t any cops around, but don’t be so sure.

The OPP is reminding you not all their vehicles are black and white with a set of roof lights. Central Region Staff Sergeant Peter Leon says officers use different types of cars, while out on patrol. But, he says any vehicle they use will have a red and blue light to use in case they want to get a driver to pull over or stop for police.

Meantime, officers will be out patrolling our roads as usual during this Family Day long weekend. Leon says no matter what car they drive or if they are in uniform or plainclothes, officers will continue to make sure impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers are off our roads.
