Man in hospital after a snowmobile crash

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a snowmobile crash on Georgian Bay. Around 10:30 yesterday morning, Southern Georgian Bay OPP, Tiny Township Fire Department and paramedics were called to Michaud Point near Penetanguishene where a man was thrown from his snowmobile. An OPP investigation revealed that the 56-year-old operator hit a large rock off shore, The man had to be airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Science Center Hospital in Toronto where he suffers from very serious but non-life threatening injuries.
