Camp Huronda receives $1.5 million dollar donation

Camp Huronda has an on-site medical centre that needs to be revamped. The $1.5 million dollar donation they have received will be used to do just that.

“This will be a huge improvement for our entire camp community,” says Lauren Linklater, Manager of Camp Huronda. “This will be able to allow us to do everything we need to do to have the appropriate storage and facilities and to be able to continue to support our incredible camp community.”

Demolition of the old building is expected to take place in August 2021, and the rebuild is expected to be completed by spring 2022.

Camp Huronda, was founded back in 1964.  It’s one of many camps that is associated with Diabetes Canada. This camp is for children and youth living with type 1 diabetes and is located in Huntsville.
