Two Muskoka communities make the nomination list for Kraft Heinz Project Play

Two Muskoka community recreational facilities are being nominated to get some cash for upgrades.
Peake Fields in Bracebridge and the Huntsville Public School have both made the nomination list for the Kraft Heinz Project Play. Project Play awards $250,000 each year to one community in Canada to upgrade a local recreational facility. Nominations close on Friday and then only four community projects will be picked by an internal panel of judges and opened to a two-day public vote starting September 8th. According to the nomination descriptions, Peake Fields needs upgrades to the drainage system and new turf. Huntsville Public School was nominated to help pay for a wheelchair accessible playground that can handle up to 200 kids. Nominator Jennifer Hardwood says the Trillium Lakelands District School Board has offered to pay for half the cost of the $300,000 project leaving the community to raise the rest of the money.
If you’d like to show your support for either of these nominations you can find details for the Peake Fields project here and the Huntsville High School project here.
