Huntsville’s burning bylaw comes into effect on Saturday

The outdoor burning bylaw is back in effect starting tomorrow. In Huntsville, open air burning is allowed between 6:00pm  and 8:00am until the end of October.

The fire pit has to be 19-feet away from any nearby cars, homes, or sheds, and can’t be any bigger than two feet by two feet. Yard waste, like trees, grass, brush, or straw can’t be burned off.  Instead, it can go a landfill where it will be turned into mulch.

You could be on the hook for up to $450 for breaking the bylaw. All of the details are on the Huntsville Fire Department website.
