Things may be looking up for Gravenhurst High School.
During a Committee of the Whole meeting for the Trillium Lakelands District School Board, Director of Education Larry Hope put forward a motion to postpone an upcoming accomodation review for the school.
Supporters of the school came together last year to form the group GHS Here To Stay to speak out against a review of the facility and outline the benefits of keeping the high school in Gravenhurst.
The group is applauding this motion from Hope and calling the move a big win.
Hope’s motion would see the review pushed ahead two years to the fall of 2019.
This motion will need to be approved during the next board meeting on February 28th.
