A few public school students have received recognition for their artistic skills.
Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison announced the results of his yearly art contest. Leah Richter, a grade eight student at V.K. Greer received $150 for the Mayor’s Choice Award.
Maiya Dales, a grade two student at Spruce Glen received the $75 Curator’s Choice Award and grade eight student at V.K. Greer, Amber Kerr, took home the $25 People’s Choice Award.
The illustrations were displayed inside Partners Hall over the past month.
They will now be pinned inside the mayor’s office until next year’s contest.
