Bracebridge mayor left frustrated over rising OPP costs

The District of Muskoka is on its way to a final approval and more than half of the tax increase is due to costs from the OPP.

Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith says he is frustrated because there is no way to know what the money is being used for.

Smith says he expects the province to step in and assist with these costs instead of expecting municipalities to constantly foot the bill.

He adds the costs are anticipated to continue to rise over the next few years.
