OSPCA forced to put down dog found suffering from ‘severe neglect’ in Utterson

Can you help the OSPCA with an investigation into a case of animal cruelty in Muskoka?

Inspectors are looking for any information after a cocker spaniel-type dog was found wandering along Highway 141 near Skeleton Lake Road 3 in Utterson on March 26th. Officials say the animal was suffering from multiple problems including lesions on its lips from tartar build up, discharge that had crusted one eye shut and irreversible infection damage in her ears. Officials say because of her age and health issues she had to be put down.

OSPCA investigators would like to speak to the dog’s owners. Anyone with information about this animal is asked to contact the Muskoka OSPCA or leave a tip with the cruelty hotline at 310-SPCA (7722). You can also email [email protected].
