Catholic schools in Muskoka are getting a boost in student population.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Catholic School Board recently reported a jump of nearly 600 students. Officials weren’t able to give exact numbers, but schools in Muskoka had higher student populations than expected. There are also over 120 new staff members joining the board for the new school year.
Officials say after coming out a few years of enrolment and funding issues, this is a welcome change.
