Two Port Carling residents are boosting a fund meant to help Muskoka charities.
The Muskoka Community Foundation recently received a donation of $61,000 from Steve and Linda Lowden.
This money is going to be put into the Lowden Fund, which now sits at $170,000.
Established in 2010, the fund generates investment income annually and is used to address critical issues faced in Muskoka.
MCF officials are hoping this donation will drive others in Muskoka to consider starting their own family funds.
