The Muskoka Peewee Hornets have something to celebrate following a long weekend of powerful play in the 2016 Muskoka Cup Tournament.
The Hornets started out strong on Friday with an 11-1 win against the Ivy Rangers.
Despite a 7-2 loss to the Mississauga Majors on Saturday, the team came back with a 6-3 win later that day against the Milton Mets and then a 5-0 win against the Majors on Sunday.
In their final game against the Midland Twins, the Hornets took the cup with a 12-6 win.
Meanwhile in Minor Midget action, the Hornets had a solid start against the Newmarket Hawks with 5-4 win on Friday and a 10-6 win against the TNT Bombers on Saturday.
However, they couldn’t keep the streak going with a 6-2 loss Saturday evening to the Richmond Hill Phoenix and then losing 13-1 against the Leaside Leafs during playoffs on Sunday.
