Canada Day is hitting the Muskoka region this weekend and there will be a variety of events to attend.
Fireworks have been split up between Friday and Saturday for some regions.
Moose FM has put together a list of the majority of events and fireworks shows in Muskoka:
Events on July 1st:
- Bracebridge, downtown 2:00pm to dusk
- Gravenhurst, Gull Lake Rotary Park 11:00am to 1:00pm, the Fiddleheads will perform on Music on the Barge
- Huntsville, 9:00am breakfast, events downtown over the afternoon
- Port Sydney, Port Sydney Beach over the afternoon
- Minett, JW Marriot The Rosseau Resort 5:00pm to 7:00pm
- Oxtongue Lake, Oxtongue Lake Community Centre 11:00am to 2:00pm
- Honey Harbour, Honey Harbour Park Landing over the afternoon
- Bala, Jaspen Park 8:30pm to 10:00pm with DJ Shakes performing
- Town of Parry Sound, Festivities at the Town Docks beginning at 11:00am with stage shows by Theatre Arcturus, Daisy the Clown and Friends, the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the new Town Dock Gazebo, Art and craft vendors, food vendors, Bands on the Bay performances on the Stockey Centre patio
- Magnetawan, Annual parade at 12:00pm followed by events at the Community Centre until 5:00pm, events and live music will also be held at the Lion’s park until 9:00pm
- Whitestone, Games for all ages in the Dun-Dome with fun, food, and live music at the Dunchurch Community Centre Hall Ground

- Huntsville at Hunters Bay
- MacTier at MacTier Ball Field
- Minett at JW Marriot The Rosseau – Cancelled due to fire ban
- Bala at Jaspen Park – Cancelled due to fire ban
- Town of Parry Sound at Town Docks
- Magnetawan at Lion’s Park
- Whitestone – cancelled due to extreme fire danger rating
July 2nd:
- Gravenhurst at Walkers Point Marina – POSTPONED DUE TO VARIOUS FIRE BANS
- Baysville at Baysville Dam
- Dorset at Big Trading Bay
