Lake of Bays’ mayor not happy with District budget

Bob Young is criticizing District Council move to add more money to the roads reserve fund. The Lake of Bays mayor says the four or $500,000 addition is not needed.

Young says they had given District staff around three per cent target to work with when putting the budget together.

One of the items on the agenda is how the new OPP billing model is going to be rolled out to the municipalities.

Young says if passed he believes it will have a negative impact on communities like Lake of Bays.
