Gravenhurst High School Gr. 12 student’s play debuts next week

A play written and directed by a Gravenhurst High School student hits the stage next week. Grade 12 student Nick Sluyk has produced the play ‘Tapeman’ which will make its debut at the school next Wednesday at 7pm. Sluyk has been holding practices throughout the winter and is pleased with how his work has taken shape. Next Thursday the play will also debut at the Sears Drama Festival in Barrie. The cast is comprised of 24 Gravenhurst High students, many of whom are in the drama class. More from the director about the play…

Sluyk also acts in the play. He says the show is a mix of drama and comedy. It’s open to the public and admission is by donation. (PHOTO: (L-R) Mark Clifford as Dr. Detachment and Chris McNeice as Tapeman)
