Huntsville Chamber of Commerce to host its Classic Golf Tournament on Sept. 17

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Classic Golf Tournament in support of Huntsville Hospice on Sept. 17.

The event will take place at the Grandview Golf Course, commencing at 12 p.m.

Halley Clover, executive director of the chamber, said this year they have added a Cheat for Charity feature.

“As a male golfer, you can go up to the ladies’ tee if you pay to the charity. So, you get a bit of an advantage when you hit off the ladies’ tee. And all the funds raised from that hole will go to Hospice Huntsville,” said Clover.

Clover said a portion of the funds raised will also go to the Chamber to help it continue to support local businesses in the community.

“We do a lot of community initiatives as well,” Clover. “Especially through…this year with dealing with tariffs and things like that. So, we really want to go all in on our support for businesses.”

Clover said this is the chamber’s biggest fundraiser of the year, adding last year they raised approximately $20,000. She said they hope to surpass that total.

“These events are near and dear to my heart because I grew up here, I’ve worked at businesses here, and it’s really important to build a great community and the sustainability of this great community,” said Clover.
