Memorial Park Bandshell reconstruction set to begin in early September

The reconstruction of Bracebridge’s Memorial Park Bandshell will be starting in early September.

That’s according to Town of Bracebridge officials, who say the project will take about three months to complete.

They say the bandshell, located at 130 Manitoba Street, plays an important role in community events and engagement.

The plan is to revitalize it into an octagon shape that will offer 360-degree viewing and an accessible walkway.

Town staff are asking the public to avoid the project area during this time and follow all on-site signage in order to keep everyone safe.

Potentially, there may be daily closures of the Rene Caisee Lane parking spaces.

Town officials are extending gratitude to the Rotary Club of Bracebridge, Rotary Club of Bracebridge-Muskoka Lakes, and the Stroud Family for their contributions.

They say to expect a grand re-opening celebration when the project is complete.
