The Town of Bracebridge will celebrate the grand opening of the new bandshell in Memorial Park on June 24, after it was closed for almost a year.
The reconstruction of the bandshell began in early September 2025 as part of Bracebridge’s 150-year anniversary celebrations.
Town officials said the newly revitalized space has been reimagined as a vibrant gathering place to support community events, live performances, cultural celebrations, and civic ceremonies for generations to come.
According to officials, the new bandshell features pathway paving, landscaping, and improvements designed to enhance accessibility, safety, and the overall visitor experience in Memorial Park.
Officials said the reconstruction project was made possible through the support and collaboration of numerous community partners, local businesses, contractors, donors, and volunteers.
The grand opening will take place on June 24 at 5:30 p.m. and will include remarks from Mayor Rick Maloney, recognition of project sponsors and contributors, a performance of “O Canada” by local youth Sophie Mann, a performance by the Legion Pipe and Drum Band, a community cake-cutting, and more.
Following the ceremonial opening, town officials said the celebration will continue at 6:30 p.m. with the official kickoff of the Bandshell Concert Series, featuring a free outdoor performance.
Additionally, officials said attendees can enjoy a community barbecue hosted by the Bracebridge Lions Club and outdoor yard games provided by the Downtown Bracebridge BIA.
